We are announcing the recruitment for the program “Library as a modern agora”

Information Society Development Foundation and the City of Warsaw along with its partner organizations in the EaP countries:

  • Centre for Cultural Management in Lviv,
  • Ars Dor/Center of Art and Professional Development in Kisiniev,
  • Novateca Moldova Program,
  • Centre of Contemporary Art in Tbilisi,
  • Kutaisi Scientific Library

is pleased to announce the recruitment for the program “Library as a modern agora”. The program is dedicated to the cultural managers from Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, who distinguish themselves by creativity, self-dependence and hitherto activity.

The program consists of the intensive training of cultural manager skills, workshops on the selected useful subjects as well as study visits & encounters with the representatives of leading cultural institutions in Warsaw. The training will be concentrated on the vertical issues of utmost importance for every modern leader: facilitation, advocacy and local partnerships.

What makes the program different from the other educational interventions happening in the EaP countries?

Once you complete the training course (webinars, Warsaw visit, Lviv workshop, the detailed description below), your participation in the program is not over yet. Actually, it has just begun. During the 2-months period of on-line consultations with your trainers/tutors you will get the unique opportunity to get specialized knowledge and then immediately learn how to apply it. Under the guidance of your tutors you will prepare your own scenario of a workshop on the selected theme (facilitation, advocacy or partnership building). When you get it accepted, you will run your workshop for the group of librarians in your country in your native language.

The process of librarians selection and organization of a workshop in your country is entirely in the responsibility of project organizers. So, practically you don’t have to worry about the attendance or logistics, just focus on your new role – being a trainer.
